my 94 ls temp gauge reads c ALWAYS

I JUST bought it , the temp gauge reads past cold never moves, the heat blowing is kinda warm but not hot what is it?

the thermostat, the coolant temp sensor?
i checked the coolant its full, i checked in the radiator thats full too. idk any help is good thanx

Your thermostat is probably stuck open. They are cheap and easy to change.

Coolant temperature sensor. $40/$50 part at your local auto shop. If you want to check your thermostat, just boil it and see if it opens up.

Why bother. If you're pulling it out anyway, just replace it. They're like $10

If the coolant temperature sensor didn't work, the gauge may read wrong, but the coolant would still get hot if the thermostat is functioning properly.

Got a point.

You just got it so you should be doing a full tuneup anyways. Belts, fluids, thermostat, etc.

I just changed the thermostat.. the heat i think is a lil bit hotter not hot hot tho,
the temp gauge doesnt move still whats goin on yall

it should warm up once you replace the thermostat, if not then the heater core could be bad. I don't know where you're located but driving in cold weather will keep the engine below the middle of the gauge because the radiator is taking in that cold air constantly.

im in iowa and yes its cold as heck here, but the gauge is below cold and never moves???????????????? who got pics of the heater core??????

never mind yalll ,,,,i drove the shit around a lil and the needle is moving.....temp gauge working and heat is hot as hell,,, goooooooooooooooodddddddddddd shit...........
