If you can find a way to tune it, ok, but that's going to be the main problem. The trannys can last if you upgrade the torque convertor and put a cooler on it. How reliable everything is all depends on how much work you want to put into it.

ok well will a hondata ecu work with it? Is it applicable with an automatic?and when your meaning put some work into it you mean put some money into it right? if thats the case i guess i cant miss work cant i lol....

i had an auto platform once... its best to leave all performance mods to a minimum. its just pointless unless you save up for the 5spd swap imo. and yes it CAN be cheap and very cost effective. lots of custom work and labor involved tho.

keep your 4dr clean and simple... save some gas

i wouldnt post a picture of yourself on any forum unless you want a pm box full of leg humps.. ive avoided that altogether b/c i dont want to deal with it. i actually regret creating a screen name with GRL in it. whenever someone says "thanks man!" or something i dont correct him. much easier.

about the teg, id really like to see some pics. i had a 99 auto ls and my boyfriend has a really nice prelude and i was sick of always hearing vtec and not being able to shift so i sold mine and upgraded to a gsr. i sold my LS for more than i bought my GSR.. i dont know how lol. now i overpower my bf :) haha. i wouldnt reccomend a supercharger.. unless youre positive you can put in the adequate time and effort needed. your tranny will be destroyed without the needed upgrades. i know people are sick of hearing this, and i was too when i had an auto- but id just upgrade to a manual. its hard to find one not raped, but i found one in florida and im in virginia.

but if getting a manual isnt an option, have fun with it. if youre not worried about goin fast and just worried about looking good, make your exterior/interior a jaw dropper and show your boyfriend up in that category :)
cant wait to see some pics! and welcome.

yea...i wansnt gonna post a picture of myself on here anyways. lol i dont care if others think im "hot" or not. as long as my boyfriend thinks i am. and im sure you think that way also. :)

i want to post some pics of the car but still cant find my usb cord. but i promiise in the near future ill post something up. lol but if i wanna beat my boyfriends car, i would have to do A LOT!!!! he is putting down a lot of power with his car. its just crazy how 4 cylinders can get this kind of power. but i know he has a k20 engine so....from what i understand k20 engines are very good and strong. and already have a lot of power stock.

im learning how to drive a standard right now so that way i can just swap out my whole engine and trans. out of my car. i want a GSR engine and trans in my car.

so getting a stick shift is an option in my book. lol but still, looking good and stuff is a definate must. haha....i have to look good. i have a pretty good idea on how i want my interior and exterior to look. hopefully everything will turn out ok.

My suggestion is to keep the look clean and don't go too crazy on mods if this is your daily driver. Keep in mind that lowering your car makes the ride less comfortable. I just dropped the front an inch with an eibach pro kit; even that much made a huge difference as far as looks goes. I prefer a clean look on my cars, so I swapped out the exterior lighting on my car, i.e. clear turns. I also switched all the interior bulbs to LEDs, a cheap lil maneuver, but definitely an improvement. Skip the supercharger, as others have already said, go with intake and exhaust combination, and body kits, well, whatever you like. Me, I just ordered skirts and a lip. I removed the wing, but that was just my preference there. I think it looks cleaner that way. I bought it with an aluminum wing, but have since sold it on craigslist. My recommendation is don't buy from ebay and you get what you pay for. So you buy cheap products, you get cheap results. Stick with the name brand stuff. I made that mistake when I was 16.

Pick up import magazines when they spotlight someone's teg and copy what you like. That's what I did with my MR2 and I was very pleased with the results. Oh, and when you do the interior, may I recommend no racing seats. Not too comfortable. Oh, and white gets dingy. Looks really nice in the beginning, but a year or two down the road, not going to be too pleased. Did that too, and yeah, does not look good no matter how well you clean it.

This is my third import car that I'm fixing up, made the vast majority of mistakes on my first car, and have since learned from it. Have fun, make it unique, and remember, in the end, make the final call on whatever it is you do on your teg.

Pretty much to add to everyone else, don't get in a rush to make changes. I had my car for about 3 months before I did any changes. That way I got to look around and see what I liked, that way I didn't buy 3 different kinds of the same part just bc I kept finding something better. Saves money in the long run. I advise no body kits.. my wife just got a GST and I am currently getting ready to remove it, you can do a lip kit but body kits are too much.

thanks for your input!! when i bought my car it didnt have a spoiler on it so i thought that was a plus. my boyfriend always told me to keep that car nice and simple. he did with his civic and it looks nice. and im gonna go the same route as him and you. clean and simple. i have decided to get AEM short ram with a skunk2 muffler. dont really want a catback because im sure it wont give me any power gains anyway. atleast not enough to notice. so a muffler will be fine.

and i'll probably pick up some import tuner mags if i do see any integras that i like in the magazine.
the paint thing, i kinda had a feeling what you said will happen. but for now my paint is fresh and looking good so...i guess i'll just enjoy it while it last. lol
