which pipe to match my velocity stack?

hey guys so im looking for a 3" pipe to match my bpi velocity stack that ill have soon and found these two on ebay...Which one would you get? (Only purchasing for 3" pipe obviously throwing away filter)

to the original poster. either will be fine. a lot of companies (like BOMZ Racing) will post up pics of any random intake and post it across multiple listings, for multiple vehicles, whether the intake looks the same or not.

The one pictured in the link you posted for BOMZ (2nd link) doesn't quite look right to be made for a GS-R. I COULD be wrong, but it doesn't seem to have the same bends etc.

Either will be fine, though, honestly. As long as the piping is 3", you're good to go. A general rule of thumb, with exception to a few select models (Comptech Icebox, Mugen CAI, AEM V2 etc.) an intake is an intake. Just an aluminum, or sometimes plastic pipe, with (usually) a cone filter at the end. The pipe bends etc. don't play TOO much of an effect on performance. They do affect flow, but not enough to make any real difference.

would you reccomend a comptech icebox over a 3" pipe with bpi velocity stack? i heard bpi flowstacks make more power than comptech icebox

Really? Supposedly there are dyno charts showing that it does make power..oh well I don't like them anyways.

But to the OP, if all you want as a 3" pipe, why not buy the cheaper one? BTW with intake piping that cheap, clean it out first. When I purchased a $0.99 intake off eBay for my LS, it had metal shavings inside. Oh yeah, you could probably find a cheaper one like the one I found for $0.99 I just don't feel like searching for you right now.

Either way, I don't get it. So this flow stack is supposed to mount after the filter? Pic anyone..?

Go get a PVC pipe and route it all the way into the front of your car.

If you want even more win, get an Interfooler.

i STILL cant find a short ram pipe to match my velocity stack.....i just purchased a generic 3 inch short ram "made for a 98 gsr" on ebay and i got it and it didnt fit....can someone PLEASE measure the diameter of ur injen or aem sri or another name brand pipe so that i know how big it is so i can purchase one?!?!!
