Got a 97 ls stock tegra, how should I spend my first $1000 on it?

Hey guys, i've had my integra for around 2 months. It's completely stock and I have no idea on where to start to make it faster with $1000. What do you guys think?

I've replace water pump and timing belt
and oil change and alarm

I still got $1000 left :-D

maintenance..full inspection tune up, oil change, ect. and a new timing belt if over 80K and never replaced

intakes cost like $40 on ebay, don't worry about that yet lol..... I did and would do a complete tune up including

- spark plugs (i like to use iridium plugs) -$30-40
- tranny fluid - ~$20
- motor oil (i use synthetic. Used to run Royal Purple but they raised prices, so I run Q's HorsePower) - $40
- timing belt is a good one - $ i dunno
- maybe a couple cheap upgrades like the intake, and exhaust or something
- brake pads - ~$100 or something

other stuff i'm forgetting too

Same as everyone said then drop the car and get your basic bolt ons... oh yea lsvtec and don't forget the rims =) I'm not a fan of driving a lowered car on stock wheels

dont try making it faster till you know it's healthy first. teggybear had a really good list, and thats exactly what i did when i got my gsr. this is what i did:

air filter (coulda gotten an intake but.... i wanna do the diy icebox )
fuel filter
spark plug wires (PLEASE GET OEM.)
spark plugs... gapped correctly. lol.
timing belt/water pump.
brake pads.
dizzy cap/rotor.

and a compression test will bring peace of mind... but this is all just my $.02

if you've already done this and want some motor upgrades, modacar.com has a package with an aem cold air, dc header, and an apexi n1 for under $1000.
