Heater Controls and Manual or image of how it works? Helping daughters friend

Hey and Good day..

I am trying to help a young man that is not car savvy at all.. He has a 1995 Acura Integra RX..

He was sliding the lever for the Heater (hot and cold) adjustment and it broke off. We are in the middle of the winter of course.. So his luck, it broke off at the cold setting..

Can anyone tell me or show me by picture how the cable can be accessed without a complete nightmare to be able to slide it to the Hot position?

I have not even looked at the car nor seen the control panel. I tried to find another post in the forum with someone else that has had this problem, but apparenlty no one has or it is listed in a way I could not find.

I want to help the young man, but I am in no condition to be crawling around in and around a small compact car and its dash components..

However, if I can find out how the control panel comes off? Or access as stated before to the sliding cable your help would be greatly appreciated..

p.s. I looked on this site for a manual download. But I could not find one.. On other car sites I have found manuals occasionally.. Is there one on here and I just missed it??

thanks again for your help to help this young college student..

nothing from nowhere
pop the trim off and unscrew the panel & pull it out you should see what broke.

Man, thank you so much guys.. ... Too bad the world wasn't more like these forums are eh? I mean,, wow.. I appreciatte all of your responses so much. And fast too.. Now I can help him out without it costing me a week to know what can be done..

Tlander. Thank you very much for the offer on the manual. That would be awesome.. Please send it to the mackwoodinc@comcast.net.

I should have thought about looking for the valve under the hood to switch on the water flow.. Most probably is not one of those fancy ac systems that counter any move you do with a vacuum switch.

thanks again guys.. awesome..

id appreciate a copy of that too! is it the whole manual? or pm it to me
As far as I know, it's the entire Helms manual for 94 Teg's, both LS and GSR. It is a fairly huge pdf, it is also not separated by chapter so you have to search up what you're looking for, which can sometimes be a PITA. Otherwise, it's pretty sweet and has helped me out a lot! I gotta go to work, but can hook you up later on. If my email times out because of the size i can try to PM it, not sure if there is a file size restriction for those though.

Unfortunately I was unable to email the manual, it's just too big of a file i guess. The manual can be found for free online, (that's where i got it), I'm not sure where though so you'll have to google it up.
