I'm getting a SI blue 95 gs-r and i have a great idea for the interior. i was gonna go yellow and blue. I was gonna paint the dash but theres a problem with that, its leather and the paint wont stick. so i was wondering if the 3rd gen ls dashes or leather too. and if i must how much would it coast for a custom dash any info will help atm ty.

someone probally put armor all on it your gonna have to really clean it with some solvent like lacquer thinner, i think all 3rd gens are vinyl.

when i hear "paint" and "interior" in the same sentence, i cringe. blue and yellow, at that. that's just my opinion, though.

make sure you're prepping the surface to give the paint a surface to adhere to. are you positive it's leather?

Its not leather, its vinyl. To cover an entire interior in leather would have made the price of the car much higher. Most manufacturers use vinyl...go rub your shoes or wallet, then touch the car and you'll clearly see the difference. The only leather you'll find in a G3 are the steering wheel grip and seats.

As for the blue and yellow interior...yuck. Sorry, but that's tacky. Also if you're having difficulty painting interior pieces, its most likely a preparation issue. You can't just spray down the paint and expect it to stick. Keep in mind, no matter what it's going to peel at some point. Unless you garage your car and never, ever let it sit in the sun, it WILL peel.

You won't be able to purchase a custom dash...if you want yours professionally painted, you'll have to pull your dash out and take it to a paint shop...or have them do it for you (labor $$$$). Personally, I'd leave the dash black the way it should be and save your money. You'll probably get tired of the blue/yellow theme eventually and by then you'll have ruined a perfectly good dash.

:wstupid: I agree, I think it would be a little riced out if ya ask me.... but everyone has their own tastes... so if you want blue and yellow thats your choice.
