Hey guys. I just picked up my first integra for a reliable winter beater. After inspecting the car I noticed after a 20 minute idle the heat was cold maybe kinda warm. I have no knowledge of these cars but I figured it was the heater core? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

The temp gauge is almost in the dead center (maybe a hair towards cool if anything). The fluid level is where it should be............. thanks jim for helping me with this

1.are you saying your temp gauge is reading cold all the time or 2.are you saying if you just start it up and just let it sit it takes forever to warm up?

1. you have a bad theomostat
2. my car dose the same thing but if i start it up and drive it, it warms up really fast

nothing from nowhere
find your heater hoses and with it warmed up feel to see if both of them are hot.

if thier both hot then you have a bad theromostat..im prettty sure thats whats wrong with mine. i just got in it today and i thought it was taking forever to heat up and then i realized it had no heat. checked the hoses and they were hot so its probably just the thermostat

I recently had the same problems as you guys are describing and it is the Thermostat for sure. Once replaced heat is blazing, and I'm also getting better mpg's.
