I am thinking about buying a pair of Spoon Sport cams and camgears for my 2001 ITR. Anyone had experiences with them? I hear they are great cams to go with.

I read on A&J Racing.

"These cams do not require upgraded valvetrain, ecu, or pistons to work well. They are also emissions friendly in most areas. On a B18C5 with I/H/E, one can expect between 180-190whp. With further tuning and upgrades, 200-210whp is obtainable."

That sound pretty good.

I like spoon. I have to say that next build I do I might use their products. I had to do so much work to get my brian crower crank and rods to work right.

Yes, I have Spoon cams and Spoon gears. Having an ITR already, you won't need to upgrade the valvetrain, true. I still have a stock idle, no problems getting a smooth idle with them. Here's my dyno with them right after my engine build to a 12:1 CR. It's a B18C1 with a Comptech Icebox (stock intake arm), JDM ITR header, and 2.5 inch high flow cat and exhaust. Stock GSR TB and IM:

Nice....really nice

I was still going to upgrade to Mugen valve springs and Buddy Club P1 titanium retainers. This is what I got so far. So I wonder what kind of numbers I will see.

ENGINE
-MUGEN intake, oil cap, valve cover, radiator cap
-SPOON thermostat, fan switch
-ENDYN aluminum intake manifold
-HONDATA heat shield gasket
-HYTECH header, high flow cat/renault
-SAMCO red radiator hoses
-MSD spark plug wires
-PULSTAR plugs
-KOYO radiator
-FLEX-A-LITE electic red fans
-SKUNK2 short shifter
-ENERGY SUSPENSION shift bushings
-INGALLS touque damper
- TOP FUEL zero1000 exhaust but waiting for the new model T1R Dolphin
