Just thought i would share with you guys about my component setup i completed on the teg. I don't have any pics of the install i forgot so i can't show u much and i'm NOT taking those door panels off one more time lol. Idk if anyone has heard of them but the brand i went with is CDT for the components. They are top of the line speakers kind of an underground brand. Well anyways the car sounds incredible you can close your eyes turn it up and "feel" the music now. It's entertaining just to sit in the car now and go through cd's :thumbs up

Here's the official audio list:
Sony deck (don't remember model)
CDT Components
Alpine 300watt speaker amp
Alpine type S subwoofer (single) in an enclosed box not ported
RF 600 watt mono amp for the sub
Custom wiring for everything

Cool man, I like alpine products. I had two alpine type s 10s in a sealed box and they sounded awesome.

yea like i said i wish i took pics of the install because i made a custom speaker bracket and everything to get these monster components fit i was really cool. The speakers that came out/fit the car are 5.25" and i got 6.5" oversize to fit

Isn't that a great feeling? You feel like your hearing all your CD's again for the first time. I remember how amazed I was at the improved sound quality after I installed my first CD player, then again after my first component set, then again after I installed my first biamplified system. It's the best. Congrats!

It really is a great feeling. It's crazy with the components being amped i hear some things on certain tracks that i never heard before with my old setup. Gives me goosebumps it's very cool. Well worth the money and the work.

Alpine Type-R is the way to go!! And I bought it all through Amazon.com. Small electronics compnay's always are selling just to get rid of their inventory. My system bought from best buy would be about $1300 (not including install) and I got everything for about $800!

what did you do to get the larger sized speakers in there. Just cut out a piece of MDF to create more depth?

I like alpine, but I am not impressed with the new alpine type s' i have in my car. They arent very good with the midbass, and if i turn the bass settings up on my headunit, my speaksers will start to pop. My infinity speakers before them were way better with the midbass. The tweeters are good, and cool because you can change the direction of the tweeters.
