hey guys im building my friends crx for him its a gsr sleeved, eagle rods, etc, etc. Now its obd0 he doesnt have anything to tune off of. I am more of a sr20 guy and 2jz. Im not new to tuning or building im just curious what you honda folk wld use. Now he doesnt have alot of money to go off so were looking for a good cheap option besides dropping loot on a hondata system. I was thinking his stock ecu with a safc and tune the timing myself or maybe a emanage. What do you guys think any possitive input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would stay away from AFCs. They are an inaccurate means of fuel correction and also throw off the timing. So you would need an ignition timing controller to correct that and for the price of an SAFC and ITC, you could have just gotten Hondata.

I'd personally convert it to OBD1 and keep saving money to do it right

if your looking for cheap your best bet would be to convert it to OBD1 and tune with chrome

I agree with winki, chrome is not a bad start. I was planning on using Neptune for my teg, it's a little more than chrome.

That's true, you'll still need to have it chipped though.

anything that was previously listed by other members will work. IMO you can get a hondata s200 now pretty cheap now i would go with that.
