I guess I'm new here?

Stock and I Like It.
Well, I suppose since I just registered and just bought my Integra today, I qualify as a Newbie...

Anyways, a short introduction to who I am and what I do. I'm a perennial student of engineering (aka a mechanical engineer). I race cars in various classes in SCCA Autocross. Last season I co-drove an STS Impreza 2.5RS in New York. This coming season, I will be in the DC Region competing against all the Mini Cooper S' in G-Stock. I am fully prepared to get my ass handed to me on a silver platter, but it'll be a great preparation for STS in 2010.

I just bought a 2000 Integra GS-R today, "Arrest Me Red", ~85,000 miles. Everything is perfect. Unfortunately, the previous owner installed an AEM cold air intake, and didn't provide the stock intake with it, so I'm looking to trade the AEM for a stock upper and lower intake setup. I've got a line on one from a 1998 GS-R, though. Does anyone know if that's compatible with the 2000? I know there were some minor changes over the years.

Coming from this:

The Integra is going to take a bit of getting used to, but I'm loving it so far! :D

Cool man an amateur racer and off-roader? That's awesome! Hope you stick around a while and contribute to our growing community! I think you'll like it here.
BTW your GSR is Milano Red right? I LOVE that color! Pics please!

And I have an OEM intake off a 1996 LS model, I'm unsure if they're interchangeable. But if they are I'm absolutely willing to sell it to you for dirt cheap. Someone will be able to confirm.

I like the "Arrest me red" lol thats why I never wanted a red car lol. Anyways welcome and I am almost possible the air intake should all be the same for 98-01 if not 94-01. I'm sure one of the gurus will comment on it.

I might be hitting you up for a lot of info about autocrossing. I think its about to be my new hobby when I get home from Iraq. Guess I'd need a car and all that. But I'll be hitting you up like I said. So welcome to the club here.

Ooooh, another engineer. :welcome:

I'm a Mechanical Engineer as well working on finishing my masters (MSME)

i think you need a gsr intake from 94-01 to fit because of the different intake manifold but welcome bro!
Correct ^

The GSR throttle body sits lower than the LS due to the manifolds being a completely different shape
