Whats Up CI,
I'm some what new to the site i have posted her and there but i never posted pictures of my car so here is my build thread. How she sits now Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving! Wish you all a happy safe holiday. Well Today i was bored at work and decided to make my own build thread. What i currently drive right now 97 Acura Integra Ls Non-Vtec. Purchased the car last summer with 120,XXX car has currently 150,XXX since last summer.

Purchased Omni Full Coilover Suspension for a good deal. Arrived in 4 days First purchase for my car.

Bought me some nice sneakers for the whip to go with the Suspension. Black w/ chrome lip Rota Gt3's with Rubber for $200.00



Same day i decided to purchase Skunk2 Shiftknob with Skunk2 short shifter.

I started to think about doing a full complete b16 swap until i came accross reading ls/vtec and how it worked. This really got me hooked up. I decided to give this a try. Bought me my first JDM B16 head online. I came to find out the head wass all dirty full of carbon build up. dowel all messed up. Here is the picture of the head when i first got it.

After doing alot of researching I decided to got with all skunk2 internals for the head. I purchased the following:
Skunk2 Retainers
Skunk2 Valves
Skunk2 Spings
Skunk2 Keepers
Skunk2 Pro 1 Cams
Skunk2 Cam Gears
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Skunk2 68mm Throttle Body








After Having all these parts I did alot of thinking about sending my head out to be Port and Polished. At that time i didn't have 1500 dollars to send my head out to get its P&P. So i did a 3 weeks of researching and found a DIY Kit online. I gave that a shot and the outcome was pretty good I though i did a decent job. Made my own DIY Port And Polish Thread where it can be found at ( http://www.ctvtec.com/showthread.php?t=6410 )

Before doing anything i brought the head to school to be cleaned

Here is my work at attempting to do a Port & Polish. Outcome came out pretty good i though i did a nice job for first timer.




The Kit

Came with step by step instructions


Head was shipped out to KF Machinery To put on new valve guides and Valve stems. While i was there i told them to mill the head a little off and do a 5 Angle Vale Job. Turned out pretty good. Got the head back in a week or so and started to assemble the head with all the goodies:

Started to put in the new Valve Springs Valves and Keepers in




Went on Honda-Tech One afternoon looking for some cheap parts I cam accross a good deal i couldnt resist. AEM Fuel Rail With AEM preassure regulator .. That same afternoon i bout me some RC 370cc Injectors. Here is are they hooked up onto the skunk2 Manfifold



Then I purchased my Whale Penis Intake ( JDM Carbon Fiber Intake) with my P28 Chipped ITR ECU with custom basemap for the Rc Injectors. That Same day I started to put everyting together but i totally forgot to purchase my Ls/Vtec Kit. Back on the internet Found a nice deal on Lightningmotorsports.com for a complete set. Got that the next day. Started building the head again and tapped it for Ls/V Decided to put on the Intake and see how it looked.

New Upgrades as of December 3,2008

Now the hardest part was choosing the block. I purchased a b20 block from Honda-tech.com but after doing some research I traded in the block for a gsr block. Come to find out the guy never told me he it didnt have its main caps. Sold the block after couple months my boy Johan civic broke down. He said he had a shortblock for sale. I took a look at it and from what he told me and i saw it just looked like a rod bearing Journal messed everything up. Picked up the block for $100.00 full of sludge and oil. Broke down everything and did some inspection. Cylinder walls looked okay Pistons and Rods looked Fine... Crank also was fine i was shocked. But for me GOD BIG OF GO HOME... After doing some more research I decided to go Clean out the block and remove the dirty grundge oil build up. After 20 cans of Break Clean i get almost everything off and started to paint the block...

I have received some really really really nice goodies for the build. Just awaiting for the ITR Oil Pump and Try-Y Headers to come in.

Yeah it should be all up there.. The head is pretty much fully built

Oh my bad miss read it. Yeah i just bought the kit from a website ill post it up tommorrow. It was pretty easy just have to take you're time and be really patient with the process

I like them has a nice drop to it a little stiff but you get a good response from them i bought these last year around jan they were like 499.99 retail for 699.99. The head i bought it for 250 off honda-tech.com

Bingo! Yeah that is what i was reffering to, i've been looking around and couldn't find pics. Just mainly where exactly you tapped and what you welded closed. It would probably be a good writeup with pics.
