I've seen a twin-turbo B16 civic for sale on craigslist once, but I personally think it's stupid. single turbo. normally you need more than 2 cylinders per turbo (hence twin-turbo's are NORMALLY only on V6's and V8's.... Or even inline 6's)The normal advantage on a 6cyl for having 2 turbo's is so it spools them faster than 1 big-ass turbo. But the 1 big-ass turbo will net you more power than 2 small turbos.

Why so serious?
just go with single

two turbos on an integra is almost as rediculous as an integra with dual exhaust :p

there is a guy on G2IC that was building a Twin Turbo DA a while back. I'll have to check in on it to see if he made it any farther with it. He had some good ideas, though he admitted that he knows that its not really beneficial to have two turbos. Mainly just doing it for the "uniqueness" of it.

I'll dig it up and see what I can find.

cool let me know. can i put a mid size turbo with bigger size turbo or do they have to be simular when twin turboing my car??... more info the better... thanks

ps.. i just hear the craziest thing today and i didnt know what to say to the kid because i didnt know if it was possible or even true but can you supercharge and turbo your car at one time?? lol i have no idea about this so you guyz know more about this than i would...

I've seen it done before LOL. I dunno about the NOS though, but there was a Scion tC featured in a magazine that had combined a t3/t4 turbokit with the TRD s/c. They were pushing barely any psi in either, but I guess it was "cool" to do the "twincharge" setup.

Here's a twin turbo with nitrous. I saw this probably 5 years ago, defintely a waste of money.

Not worth it! you wont get nearly as much potential twin turbos were never meant for 4 cylinder engines in my opnion.

You can. But it's far more complex then what meets the eye. To tune it correctly is a huge PITA considering both compressors have far different efficiency maps and the boost achieved by both does not correlate to just adding it together. It's an exponential increase of pressure.

For example, if the turbo is running 14.7psi you have 29.4psi absolute pressure. So it's a 2:1 pressure ratio. If the supercharger runs that same boost, you'd think you would get somewhere around 29 psi or so right? Nope! More like 59psi absolute pressure which is around 44psi of boost. Factor in the efficiency of both compressors constantly changing throughout the rev range and what not and you end up with a big mess. At low rpm the turbo is a restriction and effects the supercharger efficiency and characteristics. Then at some magical point the turbo will out run the supercharger and and start stacking boost between the two which can create even more pressure due to boost backing up because of the inefficiency of the supercharger to move that amount of air. That's where a lot of people bypass the supercharger after a certain pressure point but then you only end up with one pressure ratio and mess of a switchover to deal with. Sounds like a fun day of tuning right?
