like it says I am looking for a decent quality manifold preferably with some ground clearence and a non can style exhaust to keep the look semi discreat I have searched but I dont know what will match up and have properly matched ID's i know how general this question is and I am sorry. I was thinking about the DC and a monza pace setter but I know there has to be something better. if you have experience with volume or pics of the look of the tip I would appriciate the input thanks guys

for the header there are ALOT of options. Im sure some of big N/A guys can chime in here. But the ones I can remember are RS*R, Hytech, and Comptech for headers. As for the rest of the exhaust, id either go RS*R Exmag or Apexi WS2 for a real non rice sound.

RS*R

im partial to the RS*R myself.

hytech is a great choice from what I have heard but I dont know if i can justify 1300 for headers 800 ok maybe 950 if they have a lot of meat under the curve otherwise I dont think so. any one else have any input?

i would go with an all greddy setup, greddy headers w/ a nice high flow cat and sp2 cat-back. real nice sounding exhaust system, don't go with any imitation mufflers if you don't want a "fart-can" sound.

can I get anything from people making some real good power? I know most will suggest hytech but are there any other options you would recommend?

wouldnt those types of exhausts be too restrctive and not gain as much HP as a straight rhough model would like the EVO2?

well though the muffler will increase the back pressure some that can be compensated for by having larger diameter pipes, though in this case yes it probably does have a little less flow. the trade off is a more sleeper look and a generally less buzzy sound with a deeper tone.

Those chambered style mufflers are slightly more restrictive but the difference in power isn't very significant on a bolt on car. It would be restrictive on a car with a full N/A build or any sort of boost though.

I agree with the speedin, the RS*R ExMag is about the best discreet exhaust there is. It is really quiet at idle and part throttle and is deep and throaty without being too loud at WOT.

I had the RS*R on my GSR. Here's what it sounds like at WOT:

does any one know the actual ID of the RS*R? how about a good header of the same ID to go with it? any better options then the greddy unit or the hytech? anyone have a dyno of some choices to compare?

The RS*R has 60mm (2.36") OD piping

PS - There is a significant differences between the Greddy and Hytech header. They are completely different

yea I know that they are very different that is why I asked for other options that people have liked and I have been able to look up the OD but I cant find the ID does any one know this? coud anyone measure it for me?
