Alright so for starters Im new to the forums, was trying to find a place where I could learn a couple stuff about cars specially about integras. Im 17 years old, half spanish half filipino and just got my very own 99 integra gs. Ive been saving up for this car ever since I got my g1...to americans thats like your first permit or w.e. So basically Im looking to come to this place for help on my integra since I dont know much about cars. First off its almost winter in canada soon so basically Ill save all the exterior modding after the season and gives me time to save up for some nice rims, front lip, etc. Right now Im focused on interior and then Ill do some engine work.
So first off in my lists Id like to get some fog lights, a glow gauge, shift knob and a steering wheel. Feel free to recommend anything on those few things.
Also for shift knobs and steering wheels what dimensions should I look for that will fit in my 99 integra? or does it even matter?

first of all welcome to club integra, and in my opinion and i think the opinion of a few people on this forum, we go performance first and looks later. But enough of that, steering wheel and shift knob are driver preference, steering wheels can be small and big depends on how you feel, the smaller ones are for more of circuit style racing. (you will also need a detachable HUB for the wheel) and shift knobs are all about the feel. I personaly like the one that comes wih the integra, while a few friends of mine have skunk2 ones or mugen ones. It depends on the driver. And fogs you can get from passwordjdm.com

oh and

well see Im incredibly clueless when it comes to cars and engines. and im in no rush and in no financial position to be doing engine upgrades. im going to try and learn a few things about engines before i get going on that but while i do that im going to the use the small cash flow that i have left from buying the integra to upgrade some visuals. but i get what you mean. and for pictures, i only got one so far! heres my teg! got it for 4 grand nice and clean, stock!

1 question..why do people block of their plates in pics? i only did it because ive seen so many people do it

:welcome: you've come to the right place! Glad to see that you're planning on getting a lip, rather than body kit!

The reason people block off their plates is so theifs can't look it up and find your car.

actually some preformacce upgrades are fairly affordable if you find the right deals. AEM short Ram Intake (SRI) can be bought used for 50$ on craigslist. And i got myself a set of goundcontrols for about 200$

Im new here too and i say some HIDs, Skunk2 shifter, cheap coilovers(for now) and/or front lip is a great start. No on the glow gages. just get a gsr or type r gage cluster.

He said he was hurtin for cash.... springs and coilovers gotta be no more than $250. Adds alot of performance in the suspension department. and makes the car look ten times better. I would rather buy a sicker setup if i had the money. But i would rather put most of the money into the motor...

Save your bucks and buy quality stuff. In the long run it will be better.

For foglights get a Raybrig OEM foglight kit, it will run you like 200 but it is made for integras and very high quality. I just put some on my ride bc I live out in the country and its very dark.. gotta keep an eye out for deer.

BTW Welcome and also... you are mine twin

If you guys can put up links for the items you suggest that would be greatly appreciated!.
And yeah the cash fund is pretty low momentarily but I'm not the type to buy low grade items, I would just get used items. I was looking at coil overs today since a friend mentioned it and man do they cost!

My first installation for sure would be a foglight. I have been looking at HID foglight kits and xenonvisions.com is where I would probably get them from.

What bulb type will fit my car? Also I noticed most pictures of integras almost always only show the two outer headlights lit up and not the innter set...what is the inner set?...low beam?

edit: where can i find those gauge clusters mentioned? and hello twin!

XenonVisions is a sponsor on this site. Search for username "maluskeeter"

His site also has a link that will tell you what bulb you need

PS - The inner lights are the high beams. The outside set are low beams
