My Ls-Vtec Build

Looks good. I'd throw away that manifold if I was you though. It's going to crack. The welds on those look like they were done by a blind man with parkinsons
LMAO!

possibly cuz all the money went to the motor....i wouldnt say his suspension is "cheap" not like its ebay springs on stock struts.....and rotas are better than stock, so i see nothing wrong with the car outside of the ssac manifold....now thats cheap.
Actually, in terms of strength and rgidity, OEM owns Rotas in those categories. I'd rather drive with OEM wheels than rock Rotas, slam into a pothole, and break them.

pretty much a built b20 vtec on boost........love the motor....love the color of the car.
x2!

What do you call those in between the cylinders/sleeves and block? I saw someone's motor with those once, didn't ask, and haven't been able to find them ANYWHERE. I know IPS used them on one of their builds too, I just can't figure out what they're called!

forged rims dont have anything to do with "looking fast" they are lighterweight and strong.
i'll take forged rims over rota cast rims anyday of the week. worth the money in my book

its prolly the block gaurd lol or something and the car is clean in and out guys no need to hate on his rims suspension and mani. after spending what he spent i bet he is taped out. Any of u guys wanna buy spoon rims or something no cause there is no point in speending hella bread on those kinda rims rota's work fine i have Dr20's they work great i have hit plenty of pot holes bumps and what not no cracks or anything. and yeah a cast manifold would be better but i doubt he is in boost from 1st to 4th every time he drives it'll be fine dont hate on the guy cause he had to skim on a couple little areas i woulda too if i did that money isnt on trees have u seen the economy

i have seen the economy and i still have no issues buying quality parts.
maybe you have a shitty job but us adults don't.
i like the OP's build and his motor is probably way faster than mine but i would never waste money on ROTAS.

now don't get me wrong...not hating on Rota wheels. I think they make good for people who can't afford a real set. But the the looks of most things, seems like this guy could of gotten something better then rota. The car deserves better. BTW in my sign, those are mirror faced c10s

i didnt say i have a crappy job and why u hating on me, i wasnt trying to be a D bag just saying the guy spent a BOAT load of money on his car already the rims suit the car fine, dont get me wrong i have heard horror story's about rotas just braking apart, but those were on like sti's taking turns hella fast. his car is built for the Str8's which means rotas will do just fine and for daily driven he will be ok. i mean my rims work fine. mine are originally 450 for the rims i didnt pay that lol CL is awesome ^_^ but 450 isnt really cheap and for an adult to sit here and htink i was bad mouthing him i wasnt i was stating a face like everyone else it was an opinion. sorry if i botherd u dude.

it's crazy ya'll are arguin about Rotuh's. i've heard and read a few horror stories myself...and i think if Rota made wheels that reallyy were a liability, then they wouldn't still be around. yes i know they aren't as tough as "real" wheels...

as far as weaknesses in Rota wheels, i would assume the most fragile wheels are the ones wth thin or narrow spokes, or a small number of spokes...such as the Group N, Atack or Boost wheels.

to the OP, your car looks sick...But paint those door jams!

the build is sick man. Just step up to a full coil over soon. You'll be happy you did.
Im with Matt though, Id rather roll around on some stock alloys than Rotas. Blades FTW!!!!

And Sherms, less talking, more researching for you. Coil over sleeves and adjustable shocks is a fairly cheap suspension.

yeah, I highly recommend a better turbo manifold as others mentioned.

My build will have similar quarter mile times etc. WITHOUT 14psi of boost ;)

Ricky knows whats up ;)

long story short, 85x95 B20VTEC

Those FINS outside the cylinders are Golden Eagles "built in" block guard, sort of. They come standard on all their sleeve jobs. Since the OEM Honda cylinders are cut out etc. the integrity of the block is reduced. This is a good method of adding some additional strength, as well as a moderate attempt at preventing cylinder distortion under high heat and high rpm. they provide awesome upper cylinder strength.
