Jet Hot Coating

Swain coatings are great. I've used them all over my engines. They have coatings for all different types of applications. They have coatings for exhaust, piston sideskirt and dome, valve springs, bearing, brake caliper, intercoolers.....etc. I have tried just about all of them

Swain's White Lightning exhaust coating is good for over 3,000 degrees. Quite a bit more than the Jet-Hot.

I guess when deciding it comes down to do you want function or form. The Jet-Hot will be a pretty color but the Swain works better.

Do you got any pics of the stuff you had coated?
Most of the stuff I've had coated by them is internal. Bearings, combustion chamber, ports, intake manifold runners and valves on my GSX. Pistons, bearings and combustion chamber on my GST.

How thick is the coating? Did it affect compression?

Yeah thats what I was wondering. They said that theirs are like .015'' compared to others .002'' thick.

Another thing is what color is it when coated from them. From what I read I love what I am reading but this WHITE LIGHTNING I think said if I read correctly is a white color. IDK if id want a white header you know what I mean. But damn all the rest sounds amazing.

It is a flat white color. There isn't much you can do about that besides paint it with some extremely high temp paint.
