2.9 axles wont go in

im so pissed off. for the last 24 hrs the only thing keeping me from driving is a passenger fucking axle. this bitch will not pop in for anything. i have slammed this bitch, hit it with a hammer, wiggled and kicked. i just give up. do any of you modify the locking ring on the axles? i think thats what the problem is and i just dont know what to do.

those locking rings are a BITCH. You have to make sure they are absolutely centered on the axle for it to fit. Is it on the tranny side or disc side? If you have been pounding on the tranny side make sure you have not damaged the O ring in the tranny or you will be leaking fluid

I never have a problem taking axles out, I just have a hard time getting them back in. Shoulda seen me with the 97..Tools went flying..

Oh BTW,.............I demand a vid.

gotta get it to idle first. it revvs up to like 4k as soon as i start the car. im guessing a vacuum leak. sigh

yeah and i guarantee you can hear it a mile away. if anyone has been to the track when a drag n/a car is running open header, thats what my car sounds like. and its slow, so its not allowed to sound fast. damnit
