oil pan question

are b16 and gsr oil pans the same? i have a b16 bottom end and the pan is dented in. there is a guy selling a gsr pan locally thats new. so i may scoop that if they are compatible. moroso only makes one for the b series so im assuming they are the same?

I'm pretty sure that the B16A and B18C1 oil pans are slightly different. I believe the B18C1 pan is deeper. The B16A also has a short oil pickup.

I believe the B18B pan will better fit a B16. I think the B18C pan is deeper to clear the factory girdle. I could be wrong though

All D series oil pans are the same.... I know that doesn't help here at all, but hey! I figured I'd let you know.

so if i use the gsr pan, use the gsr pickup. i have a gsr pickup laying around i can throw in.

I'm pretty sure that would be fine. I haven't done it myself though so don't quote me, but it shouldn't be a problem
