Tranny Shifting Funny

I recently aquired a 99 Integra LS B18b1 with an automatic trans. The guy i got it from told me before he ever brought it to me that one of the speed sensors needed to be replaced and that is what is causing the delayed second gear and the hard first gear shift. Well here is what it is doing, once you take off it will switch into second really hard and make the car jerk, after that when it comes time to shift to third its almost like it goes into neutral for a sec before it shifts, but then goes right in and works great. If someone knows what this is or how to fix it please let me know, by the way this car has 128,000 miles if that helps

i had an accord that was doing that exact same thing then it lost 3rd and 1st gear.....so it would pull out in second even if i put the shifter in first and it would shift right to fourth

Idk, sounds like the tranny is going. How many miles on it since the last tranny fluid change?

my teg was doin the same thing. hard shift into most of the gears except 4th and maybe third. i got my tranny rebuilt and it's still doing the same thing. i talked to some people and they said it's shifting firmly but still a little jerky. idk, if you install those new speed sensors and they do something holler.

im going to have to agree with you on this one, i think its the tranny fluid. is there a rough idle in drive? Or how about torque converter?
