koo thanksyou can tell by listening to the motor if it sounds like its speeding up or galloping your advancing it when the motor starts going deeper in pitch and is idling a little rough the timing is being retard.
we atleast have 93 octane here. someplaces i heard of having 96 at the pumps.Use some 104+ Octane Booster to help avoid the knocks and pings when advancing the distributor.
(or any GOOD octane booster) Make sure to check the labels and read how many Octane NUMBERS you get, not Points. 10Points=1 Number. In my Jetta, since I've got a chip I gota run 91 Octane Premium gas, and I just dumped some NOS Octane Booster (Yeah I got NOS! :rolfWhich upgraded my octane Number to 97. A whole 6 points.
