Valve cover question

93 Integra GS
I'm looking at buying a new valve cover (the one in the pic) to either polish, paint, or powdercoat for my 93 integra Gs. I was just wondering what a good price for this would be or what I should offer on it. I can't think of where to start so hopefully somebody can help. The guy selling it says its mint condition, but I'll know further when I go see it. So what would you offer or think its worth?

100 bucks for a powdercoated valve cover, but unless you have a vtec B series that valve cover will not work.

i know this particular one wont fit my car but i plan on either polishing or painting it myself. This will fit on my friends civic but i want to practice the polishing before i do mine.either way my buddy needs a new head cause his has a crack in it. thanks for the help.

his head is cracked? or the valve cover? if his head is cracked then he probably isn't using the car, and in that case, practice on the one thats already there :) otherwise, check out a junk yard, buy one there, and practice on that.

just to cover is cracked. he had it on a workbench at his work to sandblast it and someone dropped some coils on it from the highlo. he wants a polished one so i was gonna do that part for him. the car is just his project car and not his daily driver.

i bought an LS valve cover for 20 big ones. if you just want to practice, just use the cracked one. then when you've got it down, do it to the one you are going to use. however, if you are polishing, I would just do it to the one you are going to use and not worry about practicing polishing a cracked valve cover, as that is a lot of work! painting - yes, try the cracked one first.
