Engine Trouble

Wut up everyone,

i have a 94 ls integra that i've had for a year, its a really good car and is in progress of upgrades but recently i started having problems with the engine.

the first sign that happened was driving on the highway and was doing 80mph perfectly fine. came to a red, once it turned green i noticed an amazing drop in power from the engine. my motor sounded like a loud lawnmower. i later realized that my spark plugs were the reason, so like any normal individual i got new ones. this time i put a new set of Bosch Fusion iridium spark plugs(4) andd got bosch wires that went along with them.

it was back to normal and was taking off correctly again, but then once again i was on the highway and the same engine response from before happened again. i checked the plugs again and the second plug from driver side was burnt completly. so i changed that plug and bought a new fusion iridium again. it has a shaky start up as if it wont probably start then around 1k-3k it has a tickin sound from either under or inside the engine. it has a slower response wen i drive...

if someone could please give me an opinon or answer to how i can fix this because i dont want to get rid of my car

Damn, it sounds like that cylinder isn't getting any fuel. I don't know what else would cause 1 plug to melt. You could try swapping that injector with another one. I would start with that. The bad news is that you could have done some permenant damage To your motor. Idk, post some pics of the plugs if you still have them. What color were they? Were they melted at all?

man... I know a guy who just shot a 100 shot into his engine and melted plugs....

that's hot as hell! lol Agreed on the injector

what about your cap/rotor? and I have used the bosh plugs before, but now i prefer NGK iridium

When spraying I check my plugs religiously. They will tell you a lot just by looking at the color and condiiton. If the problem doesnt move with the injector, the problem could be a short in the wiring harness. It sounds like that cylinder isn't getting any fuel at all. I'm suprised that a cel has not been thrown.

If the plugs burning/melting the car is getting a good spark. Iridium plugs burn a lot hotter than platnium-hence them burning/melting a lot faster.

NGK FTMFW! i bought a set of Bosch plugs and they didnt do nearly as well as the NGK's i have in there now. hondas really do prefer NGK's i dont know why... but i know that they do...

Im going to post the pictures of the spark plugs, and im sorta gettin a feeling it might also be the piston but im going to see first the NGK's, see if they make a difference...but the fusions wen i originally bought them were a silver polished color, when i took out the second to the right drivers side spark plug that was pitch black..

like looking at it, it yelled "finish him" thats how black it was...so i replaced it, same response from the vehicle, so what actions would i need to do if its now spraying any gas into that one?

Did you try swapping injectors? I'm not 100% conviced its a fuel issue-if the plug was just black. If you were leaning out the plug would be a whitish color with signs of melting from detonation. I found this link that shows what to look for.

BTW, this is what you def don't want to see.





This is what happons when you miss shift at 9,000 rpm in an rsx-as my buddy just found out.

Wait... What?
that is a common problem with those bosch plugs. Get the ngks and do a full tune up which is what you should have done before you started upgrading
