well i know why to get a GS over an LS the compression is better and its a better engine to turbo! :)
i thought the gs and ls are the same engine? i think only the gs-r and type r have different engines. i could be wrong though.

i kinda hope im wrong though, cause i have a gs

A GS-R will quite more expensive though. I guess it could be worth the money. If you don't have that much money right then and there, you could always get an Ls, and then go for an LS/VTEC conversion later on.

Hey I was wondering, why is there no RS/VTEC or GS/VTEC?? How come the LS is the only vtec converted motor?

Seriously? They are all the same engine. It's just the accepted terminology. Plus the LS is the most abundant and common Integra there is. They all have the B18B1

Oh ok, so you could rs/vtec if you wanted to...... I was just wondering. Because even the noobs say ls/vtec, so I just assumed that was the only motor. I thought maybe because they have a different valve cover, so it makes them the only one..... LoL

Doesnt RS usually stand for Rally Sport? and wouldnt GS be Grand Sport? Idk thats what I thought it usually means, but we all no car companies put these designations on the cars and the car doesnt live up to the designation. And if u dont want to go searching and pay extra for a GS-R then dont. U dont even have to do the VTEC conversion. I like the fact that the Hp and Torque in the LS come on at a lower rpm instead of revving into the stratosphere to reach for power lol I mean Im jus saying that i dont think ur gonna die cuz u dont have VTEC lol

wow...
this thread FAILS

all of them have USDM b18b1's.........while the GS-R has the USDM b18c1, or if you're lucky, you have a JDM B18C (which is from the SiR-G type R) and the b18c5 is from the Type R. its really NOT that hard to understand people.

i have an LS...and im perfectly fine without "VTEC" ( and PLEASE dont spell it "vtech")...
a b18b1 motor STOCK is GREAT for boost.....low compression ( 9.2:1) FTW! :)
and if you ABSOLUTELY need that VTAK.....then go ls/vtec

and if you still dont understand what LS/VTEC is...
non-vtec (b18b1) bottem end...with a vtec head (b18c1...etc)
