Feelings on J30 swap?

Sitting back and thinking about trying to do something different with my car instead of the norm. I'm thinking about trying to swap in a j30 into my 94 teg. I know its gonna be a ton of fab work and probably take me forever, but I have access to a warehouse full of equipment.

Basically just wondering if theres any horror stories out there about the swaps, and what you guys think about the idea.

It can be done but I don't think it's worth the money. That engine wasn't really a high out put engine.

I give points for originality, but there is a reason people dont attempt certain swaps. The return isnt worth what you put in...

I think I'll think twice about this then. Appreciate the input guys.

I'd say go for it. Just sounds like it'd be a pain in the ass.
yea i know a guy that did it...you have to do a lot of cutting and shit like that...but 300hp and 270ft-lbs in a 2400lb hatch = Money!!! add a 75hp of nitrous on top of it and that thing would dominate...

A J-series swap would be pretty sick. Would make for a really powerful Teg...however not really sure well it would handle. The added weight from the engine might throw off the balance of the Teg...just like if you were to drop an H22 in.

If you did this...I'd go with a J32A2 from an 02-03 TL Type-S. 260hp would be bonkers...and Hasport even makes a motor mount kit to make it possible.

HELL YES.. do the MDX engine... why not rofl rofl... i think that the J32A2 would be plenty if you were to do it

hey i mean why not do the MDX engine, and twin turbo it while were at it? i mean that would be one hell of a fast straight line car...

that is exactly the problem... straight line car. for teg owners corners > straights. but that would still make for a sick setup. but how would you go about dealing with all of that extra weight up front.
