Car shuts off while running help!!!

While im driving my cars engine will just shut off. The headlights work still and my emergency flashers work. The engine turns over but wont start for a couple of minutes. All the test lights that come on when your cars key is turned to accessory dont come on. After a few minutes when you turn the key to accessory the lights come back on and i know that i can start my car again. We have ruled out alternator and batter probs b/c the car restarts so the battery is still working and the alternator is still charging the battery i have no idea what the problem could be

sounds like its not getting enough fuel and it's stalling. maybe a dead fuel pump, a plugged fuel filter or just low pressure?

could be something stupid like a ground...i had the same problem and turned out to be some of the wires going to the plug to the dizzy were messed up.

same thing happened to my teg.cylinder was misfiring and the distributor was bad. is the check engine light on?

issues with the starter motor? or a relay maybe? sounds like something electrical tho...

or could be the rotor is bad inside the dizzy...
