Actually, a LS/GS/RS shouldn't see a positive gain from a higher octane. Its just not tuned for it.the manual says as long as its 87 octane. but i run 89 because my car seems to run better on it. its a feel and prefrance thing for ls/gs owners
its not necessarily a gain in performance but the car runs smoother. i did notice if i put premium it ran worse...but my car really does favor mid gradeActually, a LS/GS/RS shouldn't see a positive gain from a higher octane. Its just not tuned for it.
well im theory as long as it takes up EQUAL amounts of gas from both then you should be ok. besides its also really important that you run quality gasoline. i try to avoid the discount gas places because i feel more confident the the quality of major brands such as BP or Shell.my buddys mom use to work at a gas station. and there are only 2 tanks. they low octane and the high octane. the mid grade just sucks out of the both and you really cant tell if its a perfect mix of the 2 and i doubt it would be a solid number of octane that they say. so i would never run mid grade.
what are you talking about?try going green
