ya i think i got a guy who might be able to get a 7psi spring for me so i might try installing that in current wastegate so i could save about $200 on a new one but if it doesn't work i guess tial 38 it is

The new Tial 38mm wastegates now come as a v-band setup. Many new manifolds have an option to weld to that now. Manual boost controllers are decent to start, I recommend Hallman over turboxs. Let me know if you need options for electronic boost controller.

unless you have an upgraded map sensor, i hope you werent going over 10.8psi. and duh you need to change the spring to the right size.

What size WG do you have now? Most aftermarkets come with about a 38, and that fine.

You NEED to get that screw first, then go get an appropriate WG spring for your boost. Or just get a new wg.

for him to use a BC in his case he would have to modify the boost signal up from what he wants to the WG. (bump a 7psi signal to 11psi to match the spring) The point of a BC is to lower the boost signal to the WG

ahhh help me lol I bought a 38mm Turbonetics wastegate and I dont have a boost controller it has two lines one that says boost one that says vacuum I was told to just T them together so I have to kind of eliminate the boost one but that seems very wrong... It has a 8psi spring in it and it stays fine at 8 psi until i hit vtec than BAM 15psi in like less than a second please help me out thanks

um fuck no, dont put them together. only use the vacuum line. if you use both it wont open at all. the boost nipple is for a boost controller and thats it. leave it open if you dont have a boost controller

no. the vacuum fitting opens the valve. the top fititng holds it closed for a boost controller (at least with any wastegate ive seen). check your vacuum source for the wastegate and make sure you have it hooked up right.
