Buddy Club and Skunk2 make good short shifters. An aftermarket IM wouldn't be worth it unless you have upgraded cams, valvetrain, etc. I suggest you do more research.

i have a B&M short throw with the double bend. i love it. it puts it in a great position as far as driving. sometimes its not convienent with large cups in the holders though...on more than one ocasion i have put holes in styrofoam cups...luckily they were empty. but i have heard that a sinlge bend shifter keeps it closer to stock position so you dont have that problem...but with those its not in as good of a driving position...but this is all my opinion

ive got a 2000 gsr also with the same upgrades...i installed a skunk2 intake manifold, i gained a bunch of top end power but lost a little torque..its worth it though when your vtec rips like a crotch rocket.

I wouldn't recommend getting an IM unless you already have upgraded cams.

i got my skunk2 intake manifold from importparts.com with a hondata gasket it was around 350 after shipping...like i said i gained a bunch of top end but lost a little torque, but i plan on putting in ITR cams soon so hopefully ill get some of that torque back...install on the skunk 2 was kinda tricky but research the install on google and you will find some good walk throughs..if you get stuck message me and ill help or send you pics of mine since i got the same car as you, plus its still fresh in my head..

So Ive been readomg and reading for a while now...I think boosting the car will cost me to much and won't be worth it...to much money that i wont get back...i want to get all out of the motor I can...from the research ive done...injectors..fuel rails are not needed since the stock ones can handle more than enough...also i do agree i should do my cams first before my manifold...now i want to buy these 2 things at the same time...i am set on the skunk2 manifold..as far cams go...what should I vear towards? And Should i just do cams..? Also another big question..should be looking for a diff chip...hondata perhaps....?

Good man, right on with all that.

Installing some high compression pistons is a good idea if you want to install some big cams. If you don't want to do pistons, stick with a smaller cam upgrade like OEM ITR or CTR cams, Skunk2 Stage 1's. Something mild like those will minimize cylinder pressure losses. To regain some lost cylinder pressure you can install a thinner headgasket like a Spoon or Mugen gasket, that'll gain you back a couple tenths of a point of compression ratio. When upgrading cams, you should also upgrade the valvesprings. OEM Type R springs will work great with OEM R cams. Getting aftermarket valves or retainers won't be necessary.

We can't say exactly what to do with your ECU till we know what year you GSR is.

If you want to do your IM install right the first time you should also buy a TB for it, and make sure it's portmatched to the IM.
Keep in mind the Hondata IM gasket too, good cheap mod that is a no-brainer to do while you are swapping out the IM. Don't forget about it.

I agree with the do it right theory. Don't get an aftermarket intake manifold with stock cams.
I would get the cams first then get the intake manifold and install them at the same time and port match the throttle body.............. and intake ports if you really want to do it right
