Engine Lag

Own a 94 teg and it the check engine light has came on. It seems that when you get on it at low rpm the car really lags to get up there but then once you hit about 3500 rpms it takes right off. What would be causing this. Thanks.

well...that comes with not having any torque...but if you think its worse than it should be, see when the last time a tune up was done...also check your sensors...its prolly throwing a code and misfiring because your sensors have gone bad...

i had the same thing recently with my car. it was misfiring in cylinders 1 and 3 due to the spark plug wires. i had recently changed the original wires on my 97 ls and the ones i bought from crapa, i mean napa, were defective. i put acura oem wires in and now the car accelerates fine. check your wires.
