DC4 Engine swap dilemma

Alright everyone I need some serious help in this matter, no bulls@#t just real honest opinions, I have been readin a lot of threads on this subject but I want to hear a more direct answer to what my dilemna is. I am livin over her in Germany, its where the army sent me and I wont be leavin until Oct. 2010. I first got my 97 LS in the beginning of JULY and I am already salivating at the fact of makin my baby faster, it is literally dripping out of my mouth as I type this and stare at the screen with a dumbfounded look on my face. My original plan was to boost it(stronger internals, crower cams, eagle rods, whole new valve train, retainers, you know everything to help withstand what i was wanting to push goal being 300-350 HP) but then I got to thinkin about the location I am in(Germany) and how there aren't that many tuner shops and professionals that have worked on su ch cars and know them well, like back in the states they are all over the place, all they deal with is the silly little opels and fiats and other such euro cars. The LS Turbo build me and my wife alotted, yes the wife does have a say, was around 5,000.00-5,500.00, I wanted to build it right. Now I have pretty much nixed the LS Turbo build and have a few thoughts running through my gray matter and this is what they are and am asking for your opinions and help with.........

Option #1- JDM B18C-R 96+ Swap. Do this and have a motor with less miles than I already have, reliable plus 200 HP stock, as yall know, plus its a Type-R, which gives me little bumpies all over and sends a slight chuckle through my throat. Then wait till I get back to the states and boost it which a lot of folks are sayin boostin a Type -R is not that good, if I wanted to do it good around how much would everything cost for a really well built boosted ITR??????

Option #2- JDM B18C GSR OBD2 96-01 Swap. Cheaper, therefore i could spend the difference of oh say 1,250.00 to build up the GSR off the bat. I have been reading that the GSR is more leaned toward boosted then the ITR by most folks.

Those are the 2 options I am giving myself. I wont do the K20 swap, even though this guy here who has a RSX Type S talks mad dookie to me sayin his ride will crush my nearly stock LS which uhhh no duh it would, because i dont have the funds for the K20.

I dont want to do the LS/VTEC due to the fact of my location no good shops to do the tuning and its sporatic reliability. So gents if you could be so kind as to help me with this dilemna it would be greatly appreciated. Overall what i want is a motor that is quick, can get quick , and can handle being quick on the autobahn unti lI get back to the states, if i didnt narrow it down well enough let me know and I will do my best to better explain, thank all of you for the help.

if you want to swap..i say do teh gsr swap. high compression *i've heard* is good for boosting too, you just need someone that knows how to tune, but GSR is a better candidate for n/a and boost just all the way around.

in my OPINION i say go GSR

GS-R for me. I think it will work better for you in the long run. Im doing a type-r swap but keeping it NA.

i think honestly im doing it because its something ive wanted to. Its just going to be a daily driver with some power. Im not going to lie to you and say im never going to go race it and never going to hit the touge, because i will. i pretty much want to do it to get some experience doing motor swaps and just build a faster car.

gsr it is best for boost type r has a 11:0 compression ratio after boost it will not be reliable

if you can save some money i would go with the gsr. plus you will have fewer problems as far as finding parts because they are soo much more common. but you could also just get the itr tranny to go with the gsr motor and get a lil more outta her but im no expert by any means

To say that you can't find a tuning shop in Germany is blasphemy. They have a huge amount of modified cars over there. If you want to hang on the autobahn, none of those chioices are any good. IMO you should go back to your original plan and turbo the car. I know if you look a little harder you will be able to find a shop that can do the job, trust me, if they put turbo kits on bmws they won't have a problem with your honda.
