Okay so i have a 2000 integra ls auto. I was looking to upgrade my my current crappy sony x-plod's to something a little nicer. I was looking at the Infinity Kappa 62.9I and the Infinity Kappa 652.9i. The 652 is like an oversized 6.5" speaker so i'm not sure if it would fit. I'm running a pioneer deh-p4900ib as the head unit. Would the 652.9i fit and if so which would be better?
On crutchfield both speaker do not fit but on sonic electronix they do? Any insight would be great

I recommend using the crutchfield "outfit my car" feature. It lists most popular brand speakers and which will fit without having to do modification, and which speakers require some mod.

I don't know how precise crutchfield is (i used it as a reference), but if it says the speaker doesn't fit, it'll probably require modifications on your end. The thing about sonic is that it lists every 6.5" speaker available, without concern to speaker depth. If you want something that'll drop right in, I'd probably look at Crutchfield's recommendations, unless you don't mind doing some extra work making it fit.

front speakers are 6.5 and the rear are 5.25 I believe. I used Boston accoustic components and just a fx5 for the rear. I also ran the polk momo componnents and those were surprisingly decent for the price. check them out.

yeah what ever crutchfield says fits it fits without a problem.
they said 6.5 were all that fit in my rear, but my stock speakers are 6x9. All crutchfields speaker 6x9's say it didnt fit, and i asked them why and they were like you cant use your factory grills with them. But i got em anyway and hade to bend some metal to make em fit and my factory grills bearly fit over them.[i made them fit] ha.
Not sure about 2drs but crutchfield is a damn good site. I recomend talking with someone and explain it to em!

6.5 speakers all around the g3 teg! no 5.25  If you have a G2 I think its 6.5 front and 6X9 in rear. but if you want you cab put a 5.25 in there..

I just got Alpine typs S components and rear speakers in mine and the 652.9i will fit your front door you just half to make a spacer for the door.. They are almost same size as Alpine Type R.. maggots are huge on them, and to make them fit in a teg w/ windows rolling safely up n down you need a spacer.

You can fit upto about 2" with the stock speaker adapters, but about 3.5" if you make your own. And adding a component system is very easy to install yourself as well, if you actually take the door panel off, the cutout is already in your door panel just waiting for someone to punch it out, lol.
Check out this site's How-To Section as well as www.team-integra.net's article's section, there is alot of good info on both sites...
