90 integra question

Okay so i have a 90 integra in my front yard about to be bought with a few problems
FIrst and for most it idles weird. it will go from about 1500 then when i go to give it gas it drops to about 500 and when it does go into grear it will drive and when gets to about 3 grand acts like its redlining. When it goes up hills it does not make it and will put like a lawn mower
I took it to a mechanic and he things its either the cat or fuel filter
Anyone got any idea?

check the fuel filter..my dad used to have a celica that did that and once he replaced the fuel filter it ran finee

Okay you dont think it could be the fuel pump?

i suppose it could be. but i would bet on the fuel filter. if your not getting enough power it could be either.
what do you mean by when it gets to 3k it acts like redlining?

Like when u are driving it will get to 3k and act like its at 7k

ehhh i dont really know what your talking aboutt..but maybe its your engine trying to get gas but theres not enough feeding into it?

maybe i have a fuel pump that kid is sellin me with the car so ill probaly have him put in that and if that dont work then i gotta see what it is
