Thinking about buying a 94 teg.. Please assist!!!

I'm going to check out a 94 TEAL gsr teg today. The car has 164,xxx miles. Based on the pictures, the paint seems to be in reasonable condition, spare the quarter-sized rust spots on the quarter panel. The guy is asking for $3000. The guy claims that the only thing wrong with the car is that it needs rear brake lines - which isn't a deal breaker for me - I can change them myself.

I would like to hear some opinions on whether or not you guys think this is a good deal. I am basically going to use the car as my DD/beater. I just need something fun to drive and nice looking. I figure the price alone is good considering the price of a B18 engine. Of course I will end up lightly modding the teg, but nothing too serious. Please, serious opinions are welcomed. Very cool site btw.

I would see it with my own eyes first and test drive it before I hand em the money. But if everythings in order and it doesnt smoke or anything yeah this sounds like a decent deal. Just test out everything thats possible. You dont want to poor money into something thats just a DD or beater. Good luck.

Good idea.

I'm supposed to go meet the guy shortly. Pending no problems with the car, I am pretty set on picking it up. Wish me luck guys. Does anyone have any more input?
