Intake Manifold

Was looking at buying a Skunk2 b18 intake mani.
Anyone know if that's a bolt right on and keep moving thing?
Any tuning involved?

You'll need to tune imo. But then again, every mod warrants a tune, but the IM really should get one.

That's pretty much what I thought.
I feel my motor isn't getting the right airflow really.

It's a rebuilt b18a1.
Was thinking new intake mani and exhaust piping would fix that right up.

just get a b16 or type r manifold. It will work fine and still give you enough velocity to not kill your low end.

plus ls mani fits 90-01 so if you ever get a dc it fits, and its good for resale - more cars.

Skunk2 or BLOX.

Those other ones shouldnt fit a PR4 head, both those are made to fit the PR3 head. Also the B17 has a PR3 head, not a P72.

This thread is confusing.

heres the answer... plus its a 91 LS... don't ask my how i know


anyways... if your car is stock... i would just use the B18B manifold. and maybe port the runners and plenum.

skunk2/blox intake manifold is basically a type-r copy which focuses on high RPM power... not really something the B18A/B is made for... especially stock.
