Took the teg back for a retune with a 3 bar ;)

As the title says yesterday i took the teg back for a retune now with a 3 bar map sensor and some 550cc injectors. That's right i actually downgraded my injectors. Better idle this way and better overall drive ability. Car still has a low boost setting at 10 psi but is now putting out 362 whp and 260 ft-lbs of torque at 16psi :D:shock: My setup is pretty much maxed out now as i do not have rods and my intercooler and stock gsr manifold are starting to limit me power. So that's it...this project is about wrapped up. I couldn't be happier with it and the car is stupid fast now lol Dyno graph soon!

Tial 44mm wastegate
Tial BOV
Spearco 350hp Intercooler
RC Autoworks charge piping
Greddy profec b boost controller
B&R Fittings Catch Can
*Custom catch can lines and fittings with pushloc hose
Hondata s200
PLX M-300 wideband
GM 3-bar map sensor the a "mapter"

Engine build:

****Head is all stock****
Block was bored to 81.5mm and honed
JE pistons comp ratio is now about 9.6:1
Stock rods
Balanced and polished crank
Blueprinted OEM main and rod bearings
Cometic headgasket
ARP Headstuds
Hondata intake manifold gasket.

how come you had idle issues? what injectors were you using 1600cc? seems like a good setup, however i would not have put the stock rods back in when you put in the JE pistons

I never had idle "issues" but my duty cycles with those 750cc injectors were at 1% at idle and about 48% at wot. They were just too big for my setup. And it's a good setup.. yes i know it was dumb not to do rods...however i was 19 at the time and had literally no more money to spend on the build at the time.

Thats good power for 10psi. nice job but i am wondering why you needed to down grade injectors. i have driver turbo hondas with 880s and 1000s with very nice idles. but o well good power on only 10psi

Nice numbers man.

To all the other questions about downgrading injectors, there is absolutely no point in running larger than necessary injectors. Larger injectors have longer dead times and are less accurate. Running 1000cc injectors on a 350whp is pointless, it will run much better with properly sized injectors.

thanks pal for agreeing with me on that...and yes it runs much better now with 550's
