Failed Emissions. 8 Codes!

check engine light has been on for a few weeks and finally had time to get it checked out. they hooked it up and it threw 8 codes! some of them are obv but i need help with the others. the car is a 96 turbod gsr with an 01 gsr motor. i bought the car this way but i can provide a mods list if needed. codes are as follows.

p0132 O2 censor circuit high voltage (bank 1 (1) sensor 1)
p0108 MAP sensor
p1259 ?
p0301 cylinder 1 misfire
p0302 cylinder 2 misfire
p0303 cylinder 3 misfire
p0304 cylinder 4 misfire
p1300 ?

would all cylinders misfire due to the MAP sensor failin?

with the map sensor and one of your o2 sensors tweeking out like that it doesn't know what to think for fuel... It's probably jumping back and forth between lean and rich and your cat is probably close to toast now too

thanks for the help guys. anyone know what the other codes are? and if anyone knows where i can find a MAP sensor for cheap it would be much appreciated

Misfires are probably because of the lean to rich changes.

My guess is that the Map sensor isn't faulty. What are you tuning it with?

What's probablly happening is that your tuning software intercepts the signal, (before or after the map) and is distorting it, this is how piggybacks function. This is causing your 02 and map codes which will definitely cause the rest, very common. My guess is that this is an afc hack causing this, are you running a afc controller? If you upgrade to something along the lines of a Hondata you can shut the codes off so when they scan your ecu they won't pop up.

My 1999 gsr would give me a misfire when i would be low on oil and at 5,000 rpm the V-tech wouldn't kick in. Must have enough oil to have V-tech working and 91 gas. That may cause a misfire, but you would have to reset the check engine light. I would suggest do that first, make sure oil and everything is good, reset light and wait for it to come on again, and diagnose again, then worry about the other codes.

Actually oxygen sensors should be replaced as well, its common for those to go bad too, especially with modifications. I had to replace mine too.

that sucks dude, btw addtothehustle its VTEC not V Tech, how are people getting this wrong!!! its written on the motor.!
but also on a second note if ur car is eating that much oil, u may want to look into whats causing that. my 98 doesn't loose any *knock on wood* as of right now. u should try to find out if you are leaking it or burning it.

unfortunately. yes the car is tuned on a safc II. and only that as far as i know. i haven't crawled under the glove box yet to double check though. i really want to get my hands on hondata but i cant come up with the funds. this sucks.

SAFC is half your problem. That's probably where your misfires are coming from and your a/f ratios are probably off as well. That can either..............

A) Kill your cat and cause it to throw the o2 CEL because the cat isn't working
B) Foul out the o2 sensor
C) All of the above

P1259 is a manufacturer specific code. VTEC System Malfunction
P1300 is Multiple Cylinder/Random Misfire

Well idk how it is where you're from boostedboxer but around here you'd fail emissions just having Hondata because you would need to convert to OBD-I

This is what I said. The safc is intercepting the ecu signals and is misinterpreting them ( this is how they work) which is causing your codes. The only good thing is that I think 96 was still obd-1 so you might get away with running obd-1, just don't tell them the motor is from an 01.
