I don't think theres much of a problem upgrading your rolling stock first. Like everyone says it does look funny but if you get it dropped soon its not that big of a deal.

Omni-Power full coilovers. I believe they go for around $600.

Sounds about right. All prices for aftermarket parts rose a bit in the past month. And I mean everything. From Volks to TEIN coilovers. Volks are $100 more each wheel now.
