Anybody like the popping backfire from the exhaust when downshifting or revving?

As the title says. As long as it's not too crazy too much I guess. I actually like this and I'm wondering if there's an exhuast combination to do this. I know it has to do more with the engine though. I have a stock 95 integra ls with a homade icebox. My car slightly does pops sometimes. It has 2.25 piping with no resonator right now and a straight through type muffler. I know flowmaster mufflers are known to pop, perhaps that's one way to go if you like the pops.

You have too much back-pressure, hence the term back-firing.

My car does it a lot, way to small of an exhaust setup for my motor.

I'm confused... how does that hurt performance?

My teg used to do it... it was a custom exhaust tho. loud as fuck. lol
You misunderstand...my point is that he wants an to get an exhaust just for the sound.
Having a car that meters the air before the turbo (Mits Eclipse or Evo, 240 with SR20det) and having an atmospheric CBV just for the sound, disregarding the ill effects it has on the motor, is another example of the same thought pattern.

Probably the most valuable post of the thread. Guess my teg wont have to worry about back firing with a 3". I do like the small "pops" on a boosted car when its idling.

If it involves killing the engine then no way. I've heard other types of cars that had this naturally. And it's more prevalent with manual transmission. Ixcoco, that's hilarious, I love it. Just stand somebody you don't like behind that. Fire, popping, exploding, now that's entertainment!

Holy crap now that's real backfire. What is that a turbo making that happen? I think my homeade icebox caused some very mild popping/backfire.

my setup:
password whale penis intake
stock header
stock cat
60mm (resonated piping)
and i borrowed my friends GReddy ti-C axleback and it popped pretty loud.. a lot more times than my apex'i n1 and the GReddy was a bit louder than the n1 too..
