LS or GSR

Project is still a year or so off but I wanted some opinions on it. I want to swap a gsr motor into a 97LS. Is this common or should I just go with a GSR. I figured I could find an LS for cheaper but I would be ok with buying a GSR, I just want the easiest one to work with. Would putting a gsr motor into an LS be any different than a gsr into gsr? Reliability is very important thats why I wanted to go with a new motor. Thanks in advance.

If you're planning to swap anyway, might as well buy the cheaper LS.

yeah thats what I was thinking. Im going to be doing the swap myself though (for the first time) with a friend. If I went with an LS, how different would that swap be? Would it be more difficult?

to swap an gsr into a LS...not that hard...if the motor and shell are the same obd then all you need is a vtec dizzy, vtec ecu and wire it up for vtec...i think thats it

do the LS and swap it. a LS is cheaper on insurance.

if you find a used gsr cheaper you can sell the gsr motor for more. otherwise, if you are going to put in a new motor no matter what, buy an ls.

From my expierience since im 14 and I hear a lot of people saying stock ls is junk and stock gsr is better and faster. Cuzz the people who hang out with talk about gsr the most not no stock ls shits and no these peeple aren't ricebuckets they're on b20 solfresh.!
