Engine smokes after turbo....rings?

Hey guys i have a 98 gsr and i had just put my turbo kit on the car and i drove for a few days and it starts to smoke im only on 6psi.. the motor is just about all stock just head gasket. i took the IC pipeing off and there was oil in my intake manifold?? any ideas please help thanks

in ur intake mani only,any oil comming out of the blow off valve? iv heard of that before

You can do a compression test on the engine to see if its your rings. You may just want to put a catch can on the vacuum lines that go from valve cover to your intake to keep the oil out of your intercooler, throttle body, etc....

Bad seals in the turbo CHRA can cause it to smoke as well

no there is no oil coming out of th bov.. i have a catch can on my vaccum lines. i was planing on putting pistons and rods in the motor anyways.. but im just not sure what pistons and rods to go with might be a dumb questoin but gsr pistons are 82mm right?

but i would talk to your tuner
the lower the safer
but if he can tune high comp you'll make more power

is there any oil in the rest of the charge pipes could be the turbo. and if you want a good iston rod combo go with CP 9:1 and eagle rods

no there is no oil in the IC pipes and its not the turbo its brand new maybe 20 miles on it.. at least i hope not i just paid 800 for it

no no i just paid that for the turbo perscion however you spell it from inline pro.. the rest of the kit i got together

there is some oil in the down pipe. no the car is not tuned just yet i had just gotten everything together and on the car.. i was just being easy on it till i got it tuned just up and down my street a few times.

no tune could deff fuck up your car yuo need to unhook that kit from yuor TB
