hi im new here, and i have a question, i have a cavalier right now and i am torn between a couple cars for my new car. i have around 4500$ to spend and i am kind of lost, i know i want a 4 cyl car, it must get good gas mileage, be a step up from my cav on performance, and be reliable. i am looking at civics, integras, 240s, and eclipses mainly but am open to almost anything. does anyone have any suggestions

well since u are on an integra forum i think the main answer is going to be..... you guessed it INTEGRA!!!
yea, i figured that, but i thought ou could at least tell me if the integra will meet my expectations, i am leaning towards the integra, but i like the other ones to.

the civic is the slowese of all but probably best on gas, the ls,rs and gs integra has about the same power as a NA eclipse, so obviously integra because an eclipse weighs about as much as an h2, unless you're talking turbo models' that's a different story, in which case I'd opt for finding a GSR that would be your best bet, I vote GSR or like a hatch with an h22 or b18c, that'll own. Not to be a weiner but you don't gotta worry about if it's an upgrade or not..:p

Do you want like a track car? drag car? touge? do you drive your car or do you just park it in parking lots and talk about it?

I own a GSR and have owned a 97 eclipse which I thought was cool before I got the GSR and I feel like I go to a riding lawnmower whenever I use that car, I hate it.

GS=goes slow
Integra all the way.

corners well stock, ok power, I get 31.5 mpg's with my GS, way more reliable than the Chevy.

i plan on using it as a daily, i might hit the track like 4 times a year, but right now im 16 and i cant afford the consequences of if i wreck at the track. also, i was looking at a gsr integra, a gs-t eclipse, a si civic, or a
sr20 swapped 240. i have been saving for quite a while and i have 4500, but i could sell my cav and put around 1000 to that. as much as i like the integra they seem a bit pricey, i have found 01-03 eclipses for 4500, but the few integras i can find seem to be stock and abused for 2000, or heavily modded and in the 10k+ range, i cant seem to find a gsr in good shape that is in my price range. of course civics are a dime a dozen, but its hard to buy a civic when i could have a newer eclipse. and finaly, the 240s i find all have the ka24 and people want 3-4k out of them or they have no engine and people want 2-3k out of them, i cant find a sr20 swapped 240 for under 7k and that is just rediculous for a car that is 10-19 yrs old. i still like the integra the most though, what do you all think a 98+ gsr should be worth? also, what kind of performance could i expect out of a 3g eclipse?

hate to bring this back up since i have an answer but, im torn between the sedan and the hatchback. i think the sedan has a cleaner look to it and 4 drs will lower the insurance, but the hatch would outperform it. which should i go for?

Why so serious?
overall id say the GS-R would be your best bet. Good power, nice handling, and good gas mileage.

make sure you get yourself an alarm however.

im not to concerned of it getting stolen, i live in the middle of nowhere lol. i know i want a gsr, but i dont know about a gsr sedan or hatch. i dont want a non vtec integra, i might as well get a civic if im going to go non vtec. that is the main reason i like the integra.
