is a 1999 acura integra worth gettin for 7000 with just a intake on it...is the car really reliable with 88,000 miles on it im just wondering cause i dont want to get it if it just keeps messing up and as i get some money i wanna keep putting on aftermarket parts....i need some suggestions on what to get and looking into boosting it so can some 1 help plz im a noob....
I think bluebook on a 99 ls is around $6,500-$7,500. 88,000 miles isn't terribly high for the age. Actually, buying a teg that is unmolested is probably better in the long run than one with a ton of mods. Yiou basically have a fresh platform to start from. Chances are, this car wasn't beat as some tegs out there. My buddy picked up 97 ls with jdm front end, ls vtec swap with a jdm itr head. Long story short, his great find turned out to be a project. That car had been beat to hell-almost like someone autocrossed it. He had to replace all bushings, mountermounts, etc... Worst part is, we found out after cruising one night. One of the motor mount brackets broke off the block. This was the end result. Definatly a pain in the ass to fix.
I would do a little investigating on the car. Run a carfax report to see if it has been in an accident, and to see how many owners it has had. Check to see that it has had regualr maintence-oilchanges, plug wires, plugs, fuel filter, etc... You also have to look at replaceing the water pump and the timing belt in the near future. Offer him $6k for it and see if you can get him to reduce the price. Good luck.
Yeah, I'd definitley prefer buying a stock car than one with a single mod done to it. In 2000, I bought my 1995 GSR with 88K on it for $8,800, it was bone stock except for an Alpine deck and a small beat-the-hell-up MTX amp running a bass tube. 88K miles, it's still just a baby, lol. Is the Integra your talking about a GSR?

Depends on how well it was maintained. If the car had 1 owner, and never was abused, it would be an excellent platform for a turbo build. Now If the car had several owners who all beat the shit out of it-oilchanges and other maint not done, the car would def show wear and tear. Most people who modify cars have more of a tendency to abuse their cars than someone who keeps it stock. I personnally would never buy a car someone ran n2o (even though I use it) just for the simple fact that I wouldn't know how much they sprayed, or if they were using the right fuel jets or plugs, etc.... Idk, most peopl would agree that it is better to start a build with a clean canvis rather than one thats already been messed with. It may seem like you drop a lot more money buying parts, but at least you know whats going in there.
Is this a GSR? If not I got a 99 GS fully loaded for $3500. It needs a dent pulled out but other than that the car is in great shape. It did have like 135k. It really just matters if you want to pay for the miles. Acura will last forever if you take care of it. Just do your home work and make your own decision.. its your money after all.
