really? If you use golden eagle sleeves you'll either get their 84mm sleeves or their 81mm sleeves. Your not going to want to get them bored to 83mm because then you'll have to get their 81mm sleeves and they will be almost maxed out. If you get their 84mm sleeves like I did you will start with a 84mm bore and be able to rebuild it all the way to 87mm.
I've always used Golden Eagle and they have never failed.
yeah the sleeves are not any different. you can start at 81 and go to 85 no problem. the 81mm sleeve is not weaker or any smaller than the 84. the only time you can start at 84 and go to 87 is on a b20 block, not a gsr or ls:lol:
really?
the golden eagle sleeves i have seen start at 81 and are usually good till 84 for boost and 85 for NA? i will look into it IDK
From what I have seen they have two different types of sleeves, an 81mm sleeve and an 84mm sleeve. Also you can take any b series block to 87mm with their sleeves.

yes, and a really big turbowell my goal for the crx is low 10s wouldnt i need to sleeve it to run the kind of boost to get me there?
Maybe not, depending on how light and how good you can get it to hook would be a big factor.well my goal for the crx is low 10s wouldnt i need to sleeve it to run the kind of boost to get me there?

i wouldnt try fro 500 on a stock block and breaking 10s is not low 10s i dont see 500 going low 10s unless it is set up a a complete drag carYou can make 500hp on a stock block and with slicks on a gutted crx that should break 10s.
Not so much a stock block but stock sleeves, you would still need some pistons and rods. I agree 500hp would be tuff for low 10s but it's possible.i wouldnt try fro 500 on a stock block and breaking 10s is not low 10s i dont see 500 going low 10s unless it is set up a a complete drag car
i wouldnt want to try stock sleeves either. just too risky for a car you want to be going down the track and will already have a lot of money into itNot so much a stock block but stock sleeves, you would still need some pistons and rods. I agree 500hp would be tuff for low 10s but it's possible.
ahh...not that much money. Worst thing that happens is a sleeve cracks. It's an ls block, they're a dime a dozen.i wouldnt want to try stock sleeves either. just too risky for a car you want to be going down the track and will already have a lot of money into it
