Radiator problem...

I have a 94' ls, with about 178,xxx miles on it, I noticed recently that my temp. gauge was fully on hot, so I bought some radiator fluid and replaced it, but it turns out that the car will still continue to smoke and be on fully hot again after say 5 minutes of driving.

Think it could be a radiator problem? any suggestions please, would appreciate the help.

^^yup make sure your fans are running the switch may be bad, thats what started the problem in my LS.
the thermostat is another good place to check, but they are made fail-safe though.

my LS had overheated one or two times, i mean the temp gauge going all the way to H..ripped the headgasket. you need to get it fixed asap.

this happened to my friends civic and it cracked his block.

overheating is not a joke.

EDIT: replacing the radiator itself might help. when i first bought my gsr it was the first mod, fluidyne aluminum radiator because honda plastic end tanks are crap...the problem may lie there.

Is it smoke or is it steam....cause my cars sometimes it needs a new radiator cap cause of the pressure. Id say get the cheapest parts first. kragen sells a stant cap for 10 bucks. Then you could get a thermostat next. Sometimes the thermostat might be stuck closed. You can check it by taking the thermostat out of the car and tie-ing a string to it and submerging it in hot boiling water to see if it opens or you can just not deal with the hassle and get it replaced.

check your fuses.

If the car doesn't cool off at all during driving it's got to be something related to the flow... weather it be the radiator itself missing all it's fins, or your t-stat. Something in that line has to be stopping the coolant from leaving the engine to be cooled.
