yea i know, and watch the prices of 240s go up...the funny part also is that when the movie comes out watch all the ricers roll up to the movie theaters hahaha gonna see freakn grand prixs with gt spoilers n spinning hubcaps and pt crusers with loads of neon lights and flame stickers on the front fenders that are gonna be kinda fading away, and ford probes with loud ass exaust, ppl gonna be tryn 2 race afterwards also lol we should post a f&f ricer thread like what we seen in the parking lots and what happends while driving back home lol

just to drop in on the f&f conversation.
not all the cars are slow the 3rd show that had the 350z actually produced a bit over 500 hp power watch the making of the show it shows the builds of all the cars.
Also on the eclipse no turbos on on the pasanger side I own a rs model with a 4g67 currently building a 4g63t the pully are all on the drivers side and the transmission is on the right which is right where the intake and turbo sit
Now the 420a engine for the eclipse which is actually a chrystler engine is the opposite side but those are not turbo they can be turbo'd but would not recomend it.
there is one more model that has the opposite side engine can't remember right now which one it is but its not a turbo either.
If you look at the evo they have the exact same engine that the gsx eclipse, GSX, and GST Spider has only difference with the new evo is that they have the mivec engine which is basically a want to be vtec. lol
Honestly it is a personal preference thing though.
Just remember the fastest full body, full interior 4 cyl. import right now is a GSX running 6.96 in the quarter mile at least that was early 2007 might have changed since then not sure though.

That 350 made more like 450hp. It was running a bolt-on twin turbo kit.

And yeah we all knew that 4g63's are the same whether its in an Evo or an Eclipse lol.

BUT the new MIVEC engines are totally different. And I believe only the intake is variable not exhaust.

They are not the same. The EVO 1-3 and DSM's are. After that they reversed the head and the transmission was flipped over to the other side of the bay

And MIVEC is variable valve timing. It doesn't not switch cam profiles
