Trust me man it's the right way. I have this disease that won't let me do it that way. I always have to build some sick motor and then stick it in a car that needs a ton of work because it's practically stock. Then when I drive it and get on the gas it feels like it's ripping the car apart. Oh well, one day I'll do it in the right order. :lol:

I think your rods will be fine but I think you should get some different pistons. I think if you get your stock rods shotpeened and balanced like tegsox did they would be fine. The only thing good about after market rods on n/a motors is that they won't stretch like stock ones will so when your running really high compression and close piston to valve clearances it will be alot safer.

If you leave the bottom end alone I suggest Rockets M21 package or maybe some jun stage 1s.
