Washing Paint?

Yo?
Well I painted my car around one month ago... And the guy told me wait 90+ days to wax it and wash it. So the other day a buddy of mine who knows Honda's all to well told me it would be safe to wash it with just car wash... no wax and crap like that. I washed it with my nicest mit sheep skin or somethn... And a very nice micro-fiber.

So after I washed my car I dried it with a micro-fiber cloth... It dried and it left some wierd marks... I don't know if it is water marks or if it messed with the clear coat? From a look up close it looks like dried water, yet I can't really tell. They look like glare marks or somethin...

They arn't really scrachs or anything they just occur at the area when I stopped wiping with the micro fiber...










I don't know if I should be worried... Yet in a good 2 months I know I well be buffing the hell out of it. I'll get some better pictures tommorow


BTW car is lowered yes sir!

I just got my car painted and it's ok to use Mguire's quick wax on the car I used it on mine a week after it was painted so try that and see how it turns out.

that happens with black paint just get a clay bar kit and clay and wax the car it should look fine.

Uhh thank god, I mean I did not think it was anything that bad, yet its late out and for the past like 2 hours I just wanted to go out and rewash it like 20 times!

yeah just clay it and wax it,

my mom has a nighthawk black pearl CM6 (04 accord) and it does that just clay it and you will be good.

IMO if the guy said don't wax or wash it, don't wax or wash it.....

I'd listen to the pro before a buddy...

^ Thanks man, hopefully I can get the rubber lining on my car from gray to black gain haha... Some one told me to put peanut butter on the rubber, something with the oils in it or something like that.... Makes no sense to me lol

Well the bodyshops I use never told me to wait. It's something about curing the paint. They do that when it's getting painted. Well at least reputable shops do at least, but hey I'm no pro.

Yeah I know... Yet the same day my buddy told me he just got his car back from the paint shop and its fine to wash, as long as you don't wax it.

Well its a $700 paint job, since it's a friend of mine he only had to remove like 200 dents

Mother's makes something called back to black that takes that stuff back to black just be careful not to get it on the paint.
