That really sux. my car got hit this week too.. Only diff. is they hit my car [[PARKED]]... Fucked up my whole front and pushed it into a civic that was sittin behind me. [[PiCs---->]]It's not that bad, still drivable and happened two months ago. The story behind this is I was heading toward Clearwater to check out LHT's 647whp ITR with a buddy of mine from Orlando. He was following me in his ITR. So we get on the bridge. I'm in the left center (because its a four lane road), the Mazda 3 (car that hit me) was in the left lane. I was in the process of making a lane change (to go to the left) and the Mazda sped up to try and block me, but tagged my rear bumper (as you can see from the pics below).
Still dealing with the insurance company. The cop gave me the ticket stating I made an improper lane change, which is completely false. The other guy lied his ass off to the cop. My buddy behind me saw him downshift and speed up. Cop never got his statement at the scene. Anyways, I contested the ticket. It got dismissed because the driver and passenger of the other car didn't show and even the FHP officer didn't show.
In case anyone is wondering, got a estimate on the damage and it'll cost around $1200 and take four days ti fix it.
So this is the reason I haven't been on as much until recently. I should have the car painted soon. I'm currently arranging for the front lip to get painted because when I went to court I had to part in a parking garage and there was no way to avoid scrapage, but that'll get painted at the same time so she'll be back in her formal glory soon.
Doesn't really bother me on how much it cost to fix it since I'm not paying for anything.Suxs, but luckly they didnt damage your valances, just looks like they need to be repainted.. but $1200 for painting the rear bumper and valances?? wtf! dont you think thats kinda high? even iif it was OEM paint.

Considering that he hit u from the back, he should of got a ticket cuz he should of slowed down seeing u were changin lanes. :evil:

It's all good b/c the Trooper didn't show in court and it got dismissed. All I had to say was my plea to the judge.
