Awe! The weak little Mopar has to build for more power........so sad!

Just kidding.....whats the plan?
HAHA! How much power are you aiming for? I thought the SRT-4 was a Cast block with forged goodies? Hell the WRX EJ20 can take around 400whp in stock form. And its a all aluminum open-deck, but the trick is the forged crank.

I havnt heard of this build Cheese, what about the old Neon project? Did you sell it?

a couple years ago, i raced two. one was a 90-94 gsx, dropped to shit, on the highway. he had his gf in the car, i was alone in mine. I beat him by a car length or so. <--no idea what he had other than the obvious, exhaust.

I also raced an eagle talon tsi awd (basically the same as the 95-98 eclipse gsx). I had the same setup, the only thing was I had 17s on. he beat me by 2 car lengths-we ran twice. Stop and go race...no highway. he increased his boost and from what I know, intake and exhaust.

my setup then:
1990 Honda Civic sedan
GSR swap
only thing I had was aem fuel rail and sri
1st gen b16 ys1 lsd tranny
stage 1 clutch setup

the first run I had the gsr blades on. the run with the talon I had a set of 17s on. I heard that with awd cars, when they're dropped to shit, it is actually a disadvantage. Is this true?

AWD is at a disadvantage once at a roll. But thats due to rotating mass. Lowering wont affect that. As far as I can think, a slammed DSM and a stock DSM wont really be different as far as power goes.

-Now im ignoring the load transfer effects with stock suspension and stiff aftermarkets, it just gets too complicated. But that will effect a Launch.

But if we pretend everything was the same in the suspension (even though impossible to lower without altering spring rates). It would accelerate the same.

actually, it almost seemed as the dude had his springs cut. it was really really bouncy and quite frankly, i've never seen an eclipse that low before and i mean REAL REAL low.

but speedin, thanks for clearing it up.

Just keep in mind that 50hp is a few easy mods away where as 50hp in a Type R is a few grand away. Type R also has a slightly over rated HP claim

A 170hp GSR puts down 150
A 195hp ITR puts down around 160-165
A 210hp GST puts down around 180-185

There also free mods that can be done to the push that to 200whp

The DSM's are also rated at 84 more ft/lbs of torque than an ITR
